Inspirational Workshop | Chapter One

It’s easy these days to find beautiful, inspiring pictures of homes but not so easy to know where to buy the featured furniture or homeware from.

So, we’re here to help.  Our inspirational workshops feature an edit of our favourite pieces per trend and per room so you can now be inspired and shop at the same time, all in one place.

Chapter One of our workshop will focus on making an entrance and what better way to start then at the entrance of your home.  The hallway.

Often an overlooked space, and too often a cluttered display of shoes, coats and discarded post.  No more.  It’s the first impression any visitor has of your home so lets make it count.

We believe there are 5 essential pieces that should feature in any hallway, here’s why:

  1. Mirror – great for reflecting light and creating an illusion of more space.

  2. Rug – adds texture and a welcoming warmth to an area

  3. Storage unit/Console – ideal for creating an organised and clutter free hallway

  4. Artwork – introduces colour and personality

  5. Lighting – can provide an interesting focal point and necessary ambience

In an ideal world we would all have large, expansive hallways but we’re realists too and understand that space comes at a premium, so if you have a more compact entrance then try to incorporate 2-3 of the above.  A light and mirror can work wonders in a small hallway.

So, here’s three key interior trends – find which one suits your style and then shop the look underneath.  Easy.
